One appears to be a newer version than the other. Both versions of those headrests fold. The seats themselves are both Sport seats.

I am not sure if the 2nd headrest has an ///M on it.

The seat type are the same for both pictures. The only difference is the absence of the vertical creases in the ///M-labeled headrests in picture 2. You get the creased headrest version only if the car is equipped with a black alcantara headliner. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong). If you get the standard fabric/felt headliner (like I did in my former M5), you get the non-creased headrests. Whether creased or not, the left and right sides of the headrest fold inward.

Thanks for the info. If anyone is wondering.. both are from 08' M5s with the same seating options. I just couldn't figure out why one had the crease and the other didn't.
