Hi guys I just was wondering what the differnce with the warranty if you buy pre-owned vehicule? Does warranty still covering everything or just the powertrain??? I'm looking to get m5 with low miles. Is it worth to buy from dealer or buy from someone else? I know that free maintanace program is void if you buy pre-owned but what's up with original waranty and what it covers???? Thanks

For the US the warranty and maintenance stays with the car for 4 years 50K miles regardless how many times it was sold.

Buying it from someone, whatever warranty they have should carry over to you. so if they have the standard warranty ( 4 years 50K miles) it transfers to you. If they decide to BUY extended warranty (which is the same coverage as the CPO coverage) it also carries over to you.
This is how it works in the US not sure about North of the boarder.

CPO is after the dealer examines the car and deems it worthy enough so they will extend the warranty to 6 years or 100K miles whichever comes first.
