After having seen these photos I am more and more convinced that I will never do a race or take my car to any ring.

These photos were taken after a session at the Nordschleife.

Ouch. This is why you use a road car on the road and a racing car on the track.

from looking at teh number plate, the car probably belongs to BMW so i guess money is not an issue when repairing this car. i guess we will see it in a couple of months online for sale

Knowing the range...

It's allways M for Munich, two letters and four digits, where the first two digits are allways in the same range and get bigger. They use a range of numbers nobody wants... 45.. means it is a BMW registered license plate, that's the range they were using when they registered the M5 Tourings. Newer cars, after the M5 Touring, will then get 46, 47, 48, etc... once the 45 range is used up.

The chance that this license plate stayed on the car when it was sold is very small. License plates stay on the car, if the buyer is also in Munich and doesn't ask for a different one. Asking for a special one costs just a couple ?uros, so when buying an M5 Touring you don't leave that ugly huge license plate on it. And then they are at the Ring, so the chance that this is NOT a BMW HQ car anymore is close to zero.

I wonder what the vegetation is under the front plate, in front of the radiator. Could it have been acquired in an off-Ring moment?
