I think I asked this before in the past but never got an answer, what exactly does the block off plate do? I know what it is and where it goes... but what does it do?

If $ is not a concern then ASR is the way to go for looks and performance. GL

My Ride: 09 M5 (E60) Interlagos blue, Silverstone interior, with cold weather package. Adaptive Xenon headlamps and adaptive brake lights, hud, comfort access. Comfort seats, basically fully loaded.

it doesn't let the air escape while making more of a direct air injection to the throttles. Simple. Vacuum box.
