Cool

Are we boring or conservative? I've seen a lot of M5 on the road, but never seen one with funky boot spoiler, roof spoiler, special wheels, lower suspension, etc that most of our friends over the pond have in their M5. Even mine is a pure stock with only factory options. Worst of all, most of the M5s I saw were driven by people that are in their 50s, and they drive like a granny. The other day, I saw one which was driven at around 25mph in a 40 zone, no one dare to over take in case the driver put his foot down. I felt ashamed to have the same car as his. I'm 35, am I among the youngest? I ain't a boy racer, but still love to push the car when the condition is allowed or have a traffic light grand prix!

Im one of the boring 50 year olds you maybe talking about but...........................I think you are wrong to make assumptions about us oldies.

The "Great M5" as I call mine SURELY cannot really be improoved, the looks are superb, the performance is exillerating as a stock 507bhp mean machine!!

I had DMS re-map mine because I wanted a little bit more speed especially at the higher end and a quicker responce time through the gears, but I certainly dont think I can improove its looks.

The guys on the other side of the pond like "their mods" and thats fine by me, us "brits" tend not to let it bother us as much.

Dont feel ashamed brother, come up to Yorkshire and well have a spin out together just to see if this oldie "can keep up"!!

Well said! I come from British roots, which may explain why I haven't modded my little 530!
