I used to like the blacked out kidney grills and I did it on my black 545 but the more I looked at it the more they reminded me of some huge pig nostrils. So for the M5, I painted the rings body-colored but left the slats chrome. So I agree with some of the others, you should paint the rings body-color Dave.
Or you can just ignore my opinion. haha
As for the wheels, powder-coating them like DRANGED is a MUST! Who cares if it's a leased car. I don't think they'll ding you for painting the wheels but you can always trade it for some regular 166s down the line.
