Dave, if you're not going to go with new wheels because of the reasons you mentioned, which i completely understand, how about powdercoating the 166's. Now that would be very cool. Maybe smoked like DRANGED or even all black. It would certainly look aggressive. As far as the lighting goes, how about some GP Thunders for the angel eyes?

The new grilles look awesome DrLev. I think they look best on black and silver. Can't wait to see what you have in store for the M5 next.

PP, I agree that flat black, black, or anthracite would look very cool with the silver/black theme.

i like the side grills not the fronts here why. I think Dave should take the front grills out and paint the outer surround the color of the car I think it will look better this way. Or maybe something else? How about the ones with the carbon fiber surrounds, i think it will add some texture of the area and look trick. If that was the case I would do carbon mirror caps and rear trunk spoiler and this will look killer.

I never was a fan of black grills, wheels and tailamps on the BMW M

However My RUF Porsche is all blacked out but its a Porsche. Now I am thinking of the carbon exterior treatment for my car now. Good Idea.

Rick...12mm is the typical push for the M5 in front. I know it doesn't make sense that the fronts can be pushed more than the rear, but's that's the fact. I was going to match the rears with 10's up front, but decided to max it out.

Check post 16 for the eBay link for the front grills. These are the ones you want since they vary, and these are the ones that look like the OEM grills.

Side grills: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/_Car-Truck-...0266819132&

They were both like $50 for the sets plus shipping.
