Sounds like your dealer values money above ethics and what his customers think of him. Good luch dealing with them - sounds like they won't have any qualms about gouging you on the price once the time comes to sign the contract. Or putting someone else ahead of you that pays more.

I'm number one on my list with a $500 deposit, with an understanding that they will sell the car at list price to me, and everyone else on the list. I would like to think my dealer is the type that will honor their word - they have been tremendous so far.

My dealer has been exceptional...however lots of people "threw their names in a hat" with no deposit, many did as you did with 500 dollars and the dealer has seen many of these same people sell their spots on Ebay or to other dealers therby taking money away from the dealer that they would make from selling a " dealer car".

I have a contract at MSRP and since I have had almost every ///M car over the last 4 years I have never paid more than sticker, ever.

I would also surmise that almost all dealers value money to a certain degree over anything else....
