I think that button is to turn off the flat tire monitor. My theory is, that when you race, the system might give you a flat tire warning if you leave it on - that's why you can turn it off... But that's just a guess...
The button on its left is interesting... In my car that's where the switch for the active seat is (massage function). But that's definately not it...

The button to the left of the flat tire monitor is for the M multifunction seats active side support setting ( 3 modes ).

I think the button in question is for traction? The M5 has quite a bevy of traction programmes IIRC.

How does the Alacantra headliner feel anyways?

Do you mean the button where the DSC button is in ours, or the one left of it? If you mean the one on its left, there is another such button on the right, so it seems to be something for the seats...

Those buttons adjust the level of active side support in the seat. Normal, comfort and sport. The seat will squeeze you so you sit firmly when cornering

Thanks for the info. It seems you have been sitting in one!? In Paris? Or how do you know that?
Great info! Thanks!

So the M5 will not get fog lights, no ACC, no AS, no comfort seats, no massage function... But lots of fun...

Now I need to testdrive one to find out if it's comfortable enough for somebody like me, having a real bad back...
