My Ride: 2008 M5, Silverstone II/Black
I recently took a long vacation at the other end of the world so I didn't get around to ordering an M5 until last week. I'd been told to expect a wait of 8 weeks or so, although a June delivery was possible.
Imagine my surprise then when the nice lady at the dealer called today to say the build had started yesterday and I could expect the car on 2 June. That's only 4 weeks away. I can hardly wait.

I went for Silverstone II / Black Merino. Options are Comfort Access, Soft Close Doors, Thru-load/SkiBag, Hi-Beam Assist, Bluetooth, Individual Audio and USB. I'm sure a lot of these are standard for you guys in the state, but BMW obviously feel that it's really important that we in the UK pay for every damn thing in addition to the 30% extra we pay over your US prices.
