Thumbs up

Friends, I have read dozens of threads about quad exhaust with respect to HP gain, HP loss, and proper fit. I am not at all crazy about the cat-back path for the second exhaust. I believe the picture below represents the exhaust I would want to go with IF I actually convert to quads. I will be installing the M-Tech rear bumper soon and don't plan on taking my bumper off to redo the diffuser, so now is the time to decide about the exhaust.

What are your thoughts about the RD quad exhaust system pictured below. To your knowledge, will there be a HP loss or gain. Another factor on whether I go for this or not will be based on price. I've already spent more than my fair share this year. I welcome competitive quotes from sellers. PS. I'm not sure whose car is picture, but it's damn hot!

to my knowledge, there is no pre-fab'ed quad exhaust for our 535.

if you search, you'll see that i have a custom Remus quad exhaust. in my post, you'll see plenty of pix.

good luck.

+1, if you want a quad exhaust you are going to have get a custom quad diffuser with an M-tech rear bumper, unless the OP meant an M5 rear bumper (quad cut-out there already)

I could be wrong, but I've received input from some forum members and found references in the forum that indicates that the exhaust I have pictured above, part numbers below, work with both the 535i and 535xi.

5 Series [E6x]
Description Part Number MSRP Sale
Quad Exhaust Conversion 525i/550i 130 14 62 602 3100.00 1900.00
Adapted to fit on 6 cylinder petrol models 130 15 54 602 330.00

The pictures above match the part numbers listed. If this actually fits the 535xi, and I can still get a deal... This is the way I would like to go. What do you guys know about invalidating the warranty. If you change the exhaust, will it invalidate the warranty on the car? I am planning on getting the Dinan software upgrade this Spring... Again, what is your experience with aftermarket exhaust and the Dinan warranty?

Lastly, I found a couple sound clips on youtube with a 335i RDSport quad exhaust, but none with the e60. At idle and during normal/casual city and highway driving, I prefer to sit in the car and have a business conversation on the phone. If I really get on it, it would be nice to hear the engine. What is your experience with this exhaust regarding sound?

Thanks for your advice.
