Decided on the Axis Penta 19's. Figured the replica's were not worth the hassle. Plus, I like the mesh look better. Offset is ET 35 with 19x8.5 @ all 4 corners. Per the offset calculator, I'm looking at 2mm MORE inner clearance (instead of less if I were to do 40 or higher) and 14mm of outer clearance. I talked to the distributor and they guaranteed me no rubbing. If it does, they will take back the wheels even after they are mounted and driven on. They said they did an E60 XI and the driver reported no rubbing. I also spoke to H&R and they said their new lowering springs were tested with 19's, as well as, 18's and 17's. Still no rubbing. The key was having a lower offset than 43 since I'm going to an 8.5" width from an 8" width. I'll let you know how it goes.
Oh, and for all you xi owners considering staggered set ups, it's not recommended. I know the X5 4.8 has it that way, but it's not suggested for our cars. Don't ask me why, but a number of dealers don't suggest it for Audi or BMW.

Audi has always said use identical wheels all 4 corners. I can't remember if BMW also does so, it doesn seem off the X5 allows for stagger but there are differnt types of AWD set-ups, perhaps BMW's is more able to manage that?

I'm not sure how dealers can say that the XI's can't/shouldn't run staggered wheels. BMW lists the Style 124's in a staggered configuration for the 530XI.
Part Numbers are:
Front: 36116767541 8 x 18 43mm offset
Rear: 36116767542 9 x 18 55mm offset

Yeah, I'm sure you can run staggered, but like 2ManyCars said, he had to have custom wheels done with the exact offset specs needed. For the front, that would be 43 and for the rear, that would be 55. Outside of OEM 18's (Style 124), I couldn't find any manufacturers that had this size readily available. Everything would have to be custom ordered (not cheap).
I've always had the question in my head as to why the X5 4.8 Sport runs staggered and we can't. Never made sense to me.
Regardless though, I've decided to stick with 19x8.5 at all 4 corners. I'll just push the rears out with some H&R 10mm spacers.

They also come 74.1mm outside hub diameter, which is perfect for the "xi" (no so perfect for other 5-series models, which need hubcentric rings to increase the 72.56 outside diameter).
