Looks good, sucks about the button, I think you have to replace the whole unit though unless you can find a broken unit with intact button and attempt a swap. Or you could just wrap the button in CF too

Very nice, I ordered this stuff as well but from a vendor on a e46 forum. I plan on wrapping all my wood trim with it, I just need to find some time to do it. As a tip for those who are concerned about screwing up and wrecking there trim, just cover the trim with masking tape first the glue the cf wrap to the masking tape this way the procedure is not permanent.

gotta give props where its due: its gotta be some kinda achievement - to break that button while installing a bumper! 
Just kiddin' man - I know it must suck so bad having that broken button. But you know what, you should just try to get a replacement - ain't no reason to pay $900 bucks (are they friggin' nuts?!) for a broken button. There's a guy parting out a 535 on the classifieds now - you might be able to persuade him to sell you the button...
And on the CF trim - TOTALLY AWESOME! I'm planning to get some of that done myself, actually, so a DIY would've been nice - especially on removing and re-installing that panel. But, like I said before, I have to give props where its due, and you, amigo are due the props on this one

I wasn't happy with a few things like a bubble that popped up and a edge. I took it all off and fixed it and now it looks great. I wanna attempt the trim above it now. The fabric looks awesome in person. The hardest part in the entire thing is getting the edges done properly. I gotta have some more practice before I attempt the big piece.

actually, that's what I'm planning to do on mine. But my point is, I like the aluminum trim on your car - I'd leave it alone.
