Thanks to PY for the fabric. My front console trim was peeling paint and didn't look good. I ran across his thread on the carbon fiber frabric and wanted to give it a try. I read over a couple e90 post threads regarding it and tackled this as a test piece. Let me tell you it was a pain in the butt to get the circles looking decent. Took me 3 1/2 hours to do. Just mounted it, here are some pics. The knob you see was broken off apparently after I got my bumper installed. I didn't notice it untill I got home. I don't think I ever touched that knob and the one time the car is in someone elses hands they manage a way to break it off. Any way to replace that knob? Dealer quoted me $900 to replace the entire unit, f that.

I may wrap the rest of the trim on another day. Alot of the people in the e90 posts said to do one piece a day so you don't get frustrated.

I am working with the cf fabric now. Comes out really nice when finished. I usually use the CF vinyl when doing audio work.

Yeah seriously. The only time the install shop would have been in the car is to move it into place. The one time he moves it they need to touch that button and break it?? Thats why I hate anyone working on my car, something always goes wrong or gets scraped/scratch.
