i didn't have the wood ebrake handle since i rarely touch it. my dealer installed the shifter for me but a lot of member in here said you just need to yank it out and pop the new one back it. don't hit your forehead, though .

Hi guys,
those wood shifter and hand-brake lever are really nice; I'll order them. Now I've another issue: my car has beige dakota interior , but the shifter leather is black, not a verygood match with all that beige leather around. I've seen the Alpina interior with beige leather all around the shifter and on the shifter itself and IT'S COOL!
Anybody knows how to get those beige leather parts to replace the original black ones?

how do you install selector lever and brake handle

Both just pull off, though be careful with the gear shift knob, it takes a pretty good pull an it could pop up and hit you when it comes loose. New ones snap right on, though the leather around the brake handle might take a little adjusting. Did both of mine in 5 minutes while sitting in the dealer parking lot.

Would be nice to find, but I assume that the original you have is like everyone elses and has the dark grey leather around the steel. It is the same except instead of steel it is wood.
