Winter Wheels arrived today

Hi Fred,
This is so each year you can easily swap in and out the winter wheels yourself. Otherwise you'd have to get a tire shop to mount and balance your winter tires and then in the spring mount and balance your normal tires on the factory rims.
I'm not sure how much that costs but if you do that multiple times for a few years I'd imagine it adds up to more than a set of rims. It's probably like $25 or $30 per wheel so thats $100 times 2 per winter season, thats $200 per season versus spending $500 or $600 for new rims.
I guess you need to keep your car for more than 3 years to warrant new rims. I never thought about it this way however I plan on keeping my car much longer so for me personally its not a problem!

Plus the salt and dirt on the road can be aggressive for your rims. In this way I know my winterwheels may look like rubish after a few years but my summerwheels will always look like new.

Shouldn't our tirewidth be 225 or 245??? Those wheels look like E46 wheels and probably don't fit an E60..
I don't know this for sure but I would check it out if I were you.

Our tire shop told us that there isn't the big differns between 245 or 235 (1%) so that should work out. I would have had 225 or even smaller. But the 235 tires should not cause any problems, he said....
About the look, its E46 look, but it should fit the E60...
They will change from summer to winter tires next week, if they dosen't fit, they will have to find some others

Glad to hear you noticed it yourself too.. Keep us posted on fitment and how it drives.. (the wheels look great anyway!!)
