Why don't you remove the tint and see that it is not "minuscule". Hell while you are at it put on a pair of sun glasses, that would be cool also.

55% is how much visible light passes through the tint. It doesn't mean 55% of your vision is reduced. Have you ever seen a car tinted such as a limo? You can't see in but you can see out. You need to do some research before you shoot something down that you have no experience with. Wearing sunglasses effects my vision more than my 55% tint.
