Does anyone have a recommendation on a place or type of window tint to use? When I tinted the windows on my last car, it broke my NAV system- something with the metal in the tint. Anyone have an idea of a place or prices?

 

I recently tinted my car using ceramic tint (madico is the brand) for $500. You can go with non-metalic tint for half the price and your Nav should be fine. The advantage with ceramic tint is better heat rejection.

 

Go to Rich Tint @ walnut. He does good work and he uses dye film which doesn't effect navigation. Should run 200ish, or you could run ceramic which is 400.

Also, if you can, go to The Tint Pros in Huntington Beach. Top notch work and formula one tint (the best out there with lifetime fade warranty.) A little pricey, 250 for dye, 450-500 for ceramic, but GREAT work. Lots of showcars and such. I get all my cars done through them.

i had mine done a little while back. i have a dyed tint and got it done at a place in long beach for $170. i only heard negative things about metallic tints when i was doing my research and asking around. well anyway, i forgot the name of the place but if youre interested, its on cherry ave. and 28th st. right across the best buy and right beside house of handlebars.
