One of the shops in my area that comes highly recommended sells Huber Optik ceramic tint. How does this compare to Formula One Pinnacle tint?

There are other threads out there comparing the two. You might want to do a Search. From what I can tell, Pinnacle & Huber Optik are top of the line. I actually started my search looking for Huber Optik, and contacted the mfg for dealers in my area. The only dealer in my area do not install on autos, which is why I switched my focus to Pinnacle.

I have Solar Gard 35% Tint on my M5 and it's great! I don't see any reason to pay 3x that amount for a different tint. On my X5, it's going to have Llumar Tint, which is my favorite.

No interference with AM reception or Navagation? Why Llumar on your X5 rather than Solar Gard?

I got the classic since I wasn't worried about interference. However, you will notice that different brands will have different hues, which impacts the look on your car. Some have a brown, green or blueish hue.

I've been pleased with the classic tint, however I think I'd do it with ceramic if done again- due to the heat blocking effect.

Can you tell me what hue the classic has in your opinion?

Llumar tint is great... since it is korean company, most bmw dealers in korea use llumar... like one i have back there..

in VA i use madico with 20% in the back windows, 35 on front and 50% on windshield... they are great...

go place where they can tint reallly close to the edge of the windows so others wont notice when you roll down the window that you have tint...

find special place where they specialize on window tint not a side job

I just had the Formula one Pinnacle tint put on the 535ix, so far, wow. What a difference it makes, esp with the beige leather ("natural brown") interior, totally subdues the look, makes it look HOT. Now, getting the M6 replicas placed. Pics to follow when the transformation is complete...
