I just ordered my new 535i Sport and wanted advice on window tint. My dealer carries Llumar Tint, and I wanted to know which type I should get and how dark I should go.

My car is Black Sapphire on Natural Brown. I'm debating whether to do 20%, 30% or 35%. I'm also considering doing the rear window darker - so 20% on the rear window, and maybe 35% on the rest. Any pics would be REALLY helpful.

Additionally which type of Llumar Tint should I get, I'm torn between the AXCESS tint and the PLATINUM PLUS. Any advice or pics would be welcome. I don't have NAV, but I do have a V1 Radar Detector, Bluetooth and Sirrius.

Thanks!
Matt.

You should check the local law. You can tint darker but it does not necessarily look good on this classy premium sedan. Definitely go with the same tint level. I went with 35% ceramic tint, supposedly the best in terms of heat and UV protection. I used Formula One, and Huper Optik is also a well regarded brand.

If you just want a tint to block out the heat and add that classy look then you should go with 35% all around. 20% is quite dark and might affect your vision at night.

Check the above thread. I think the Llumar Axcess is great stuff. Works as promised.
I went 15 on the rear window and should have gone one lighter at 20. I like the 50/35 sides and it looks natural and no worries from the law. There is a LOT less heat in the car, much more comfortable.

What did you end up going with and do you have pix to share? Just got a new 535i Sport and not sure what to go with.

Cheers
