Window tint % and Brands
Hey all,
I finally found a place by me that will install window tint in my ride.
They offer 2 brands of tint.
1. Formula
2. ATX
I was pondering which brand would be better (maybe some of you know which is better or what?) so please post your comments / thoughts.
I was also wondering what percent of tint would offer the best look and functionality. Not looking at getting stopped by the POPO (police) with double Limo Black.
But am wondering what would work the best. I was thinking of 40% or 35%.
Thanks for your input.

AE, not knowing the color of your e60 or it's interior makes it more difficult to advise you. Black interiors make tint look even darker.
Knowing that you are from the Twin Cities area I would advise you against anything more than 50%. The state troopers in MN are tint nazi's and will pull you over in a heart beat. Also, if you head into any of the suburbs the police have nothing better to do than pull you over for this tint violation. If you are alright with being harassed on a regular basis, by all means go 35% or 20%. I myself got tired of being pulled over. IMHO I think 50% looks classier. What ever you decide is obviously up to you. I have a guy that has tinted all of my vehicles since 1990 that does a great job, is cheap and close to you in Little Canada. PM me if you are interested and I'll set you up.

DUH,
Yeah, I should have added that I have a black on black.
Not sure what the real difference of 10% tint is going to make.
If it's going to keep the cops off my back then I would go with the 50% then.
Thanks for your input.
