adversely affect braking performance in any way, even minimally? If not, what the recommended rotors? I think I may need to upgrade rotors to enhance the car's appearance once the new wheels are installed.

cross-drilled rotors minimize brake fade during braking which is why it's popular amongst trackers. i've sent you a PM.

I've never actually seen any compelling research or technical white sheets that state, unequivocally, that drilled/slotted rotors are superior to well made normal rotors. There's a ton of anecdotal evidence, usually gleefully provided by suppliers who sell the things.

But, they look really freaking cool so unless you're a serious tracker, i say go for them!
