Will a lci idrive controller fit and work with a CCC in a pre lci

although it is not a simple plug and play
take it from me , i never worked with electronics or wiring before
it is a SIMPLE think .

Im going to fit my CCC once I get my fan harness

The new idrive controller I have is from. Lci 2008 e60 will I need anything else to fit it as the guy above says it's not plug and play just want more people who know to answer
before I start taking things apart


Also does any one know how to take the centre console off ad step by step instructions

My Ride: 2008 535i LCI with sports/premium package, Sports trans with paddle shifters, CF emblems, JB4 Software, Dinan Exhaust, Navigation, M5Tech body kit, Carbon wrap interrior trim and CIC Controller.

Well, from what I've been told and was one of the main reason I did not go with a CIC is, there are several things you will lose for sure. Maybe someone can chime in here that has done this and spell out all that will no longer work. I heard there was some climate stuff...? although the CIC is much nicer, one must decide if the differences make up for it. I also was told that the programing was not easy and can be rather costly. I know someone quoted me $550.00 to just program the CCC, can't image what the CIC would cost!
