Will aftermarket amp make stock subs sound better?

A simple yes or no would be sufficient but if you have experience than by all means explain.

Also anyone with a sub in there trunk is it worth all the work is it a big increase in bass? From my understanding the trunk is so isolated that the bass does not even get through.

The OEM woofers will sound better with an aftermarket amp of no more than 100W peak per channel, and that's while keeping the gains under control. Exceed that and your will fry the OEM woofers.

However, if you are looking for a substitute of a trunk sub then it will not going to happen with the OEM woofers and an aftermarket amp, you will need a pair of SWS-8 and a 300W peak per channel amp.
