I noticed that most people on here, when upgrading their wheels, they go for 19". Is there a reason people shy away from 20s?

meaning you have to be super careful where roads are bad, that's why.

I live in Michigan and the road here are total crap for the most part. Even though we get taxed 32 cents/gal on gas to pay for maintaining the roads
I am thinking about upgrading the wheels ( I have the 17" ones), but I wont go anymore than 19 just based on the bad roads here. And even that might be too much.

In NJ with 19's they are ok, a little bit more bumpy then stock, but worth it for the look !

...and with the 19s you get better handling to swerve as you avoid the monkey holes ![Tongue](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/tongue.gif)

The difference from a 19" to a 20" is negligible IMO. You're basically adding a half inch difference in rim size (one inch gain is half gain on diameter at each end). I've got OEM 20's and they ride and feel like stock 18s, which is what I had before. Plus, you have a lot more to choose from in a 20 inch than in a 19.
