Here's the link from KU530, but I made a WORD copy of it that I actually edited to make it more organized (no offense, KU!). Now keep in mind, we both have xi's, but the install should be similar, in terms of how the springs should be seated. I hope this helps!

As an FYI, the right side sits lower than the left of the car, even after install of aftermarket springs. And yes, it's a difference of more than a finger gap. Why you ask? To compensate for the additional weight added to the car when the driver sits in the drivers seat. It levels it back out.
It looks fine to me. If you're concerned because you think one side sits higher than the other and are questioning the install, don't. It's supposed to be that way.
However, when you drive around, try and take some sharp turns going back and forth with quick motions (make sure nobody is around you of course). If there are no sounds or creaks, you're fine.

You're right. End of spring should go all the way to where you're pointing.

from that pic it looks as if the spring is not sitting on the seat properly. it is not rotated as it should be.

I asked the mechanic and he said the installation of the front springs can't be wrong...
So, whose right whose wrong??
Could somebody post some photos of their e60's suspension (stock &/or non-stock)..?
Thanks for everybody's time..

Looks like the spring is not sitting right properly... The spring (bottom) supposed to be fit to the bottom rubber. Needs to rotate more.. And yeah you are right cause my E60 right front is more lower than my left front... Good Luck!!!

What about the rears? Does the part number should be facing outward? Now, the left-rear part number is facing the front of the car, and the right-rear is facing outward.. The fact is that now the left rear is .7-1.0 higher than the right.. Is this what makes the height significantly different?
Thanks for all the help...!
