Which wheels fit on a 545/550?

My Ride: 2008 Sapphire Black on Black M5 - loaded sans soft close doors
I'm looking for 17" wheels for my 550 for winter use.
Rumor has it that the Style 122 fit just fine.
However, I just talked to a guy who has the 138s and is selling them because they don't come close to fitting over the front caliper.
Worse, Tirerack (depending on the link you click on) will tell you they are not selling ANY wheels for the 550 right now due to technical issues!
Help!

Style #138 won't fit?? I wouldn't believe that!!. I just bought #138 17" rims and Dunlop Winter Sport M3 (225/50R-17) after speaking to my dealer. Getting it installed tomorrow.
