So I've got my dead pedal and my throttle pedal installed, no problem.

But this damned brake pedal is KILLING me.

what's the secret?

How do I best drill through this metal? Any tips?

Thanks,

Jed

The secret is a sharp drill tap (the tool that places a divot on the metal after a sharp tap from a hammer) after you've marked where you want to drill. Then of course, make sure you have SHARP drill bits. And NEVER use your body weight to push the drill bit into the metal as the drill is turning. TAKE YOUR TIME. Let the drill bit do its job in scoring away at the metal.

As an aside, I was told that it took Dinan close to 30 minutes to tap and drill the holes on the brake pedal b/c the installer claimed that the metal "was a bitch" to drill through!

One tip is cover your ear. The space under footwell is small, and high pitch noise from drilling might be bad for your ear.
The last tip is you need at least two drill bits

quickest tip....forget the drilling and just use double sided tape....used it on mine and haven't had a single problem!
