Thumbs up

Firstly, I apologize if I'm duplicating previous posts, but I couldn't find an answer to my specific question, which is this:

I want to bring my rear wheels out slightly, to tip the handling balance a little more toward oversteer and have the rear wheels closer to the (more "flush" with) wheel wells. What size spacers should I use on my '06 530Xi Sport pk with 123 wheels? I would like to make sure that I avoid any rubbing and so on.

Conversely, are there any reliability/wear issues I should worry about when installing spacers?

I know the offsets of those wheels are ET43, but not exactly sure how big of a spacer would be good for an xi model.

I've got a 10mm spacer on my rears at the moment and it only barely makes at dent. I will likely to a total of 20mm extended out over stock by using a wider wheel with a lower offset and spacers.

C's bimmer had his rear wheels extended out almost 30mm over stock without problems

I believe C used a 10mm spacer on his rear 9.5" rims with 275 tires and ET45 CSL's. OEM is ET43 on those 123's, with 8" rim on 245's. This means you could use a 20mm to 25mm in the rear with no rubbing problems, if you'd want to go that wide.

Personally, I wouldn't risk anything wider than 15mm, though.

I just looked at some of the PM's Calton sent me when I was shopping for wheels. He did 10mm spacers in the front and 12 in the rear.

Do any of you guys experience vibration with the spacer? I want to use 15 mm H&R spacer for the back with the 128 Wheels 275/30/19 but the dealer tells me I might experience vibration. Is this true? I typically don't believe the STEALERS with anything. Also if I use 15 mm, would I experience any rubbing if I have 3 passengers in the back?

You recommendations please!

I got vibration in the steering wheel with my M5 with 12mm spacers in the front...had to remove them.

It's harder to know about the rears, but I am ok with the 10mm I now have on the rear of my 550i.

Were they hub-centric spacers?

Ok, people, tally: vibration or no?!?!

Keep in mind, I have an Xi, so rears are 8.5 inch rims w. 245's. I'm thinking to go 15 or 20 mm (more likely 15mm).
