I don't think those gains are obtainable. BMW does an incredible job tuning these cars and I assure you there is not an extra 20hp laying around. Even Dinan says there are no gains to be had chipping a NA BMW.

Not sure that's entirely true... the standard programming leaves significant safety margins to take into account, for example, poor quality fuel in some markets. The chip can be optimised for the operating parameters of the specific owner, which could lead to power/efficiency gains, in any car.
Of course, it's easier to get more power from a turbo car with a chip, by just telling it to blow harder, essentially, but that's a slightly different game.

You may also want to look into DMS. They claim 405 bhp and 398 ft-lbs with their remap. They are in the U.K. but they have a guy here in the U.S. that will fly in and load it at your home or office. I'd rather do that than ship my EMS to Germany. Their price is $1,200 plus travel costs.

As long as warranty is concerned, only if you have a direct probs w your engine or turbo then you have a probs, but even like that BMW has to look for that specifically to look for your remap and that takes like 5-6 hrs.
Mine was in for service and oil and no probs at all
and if then it is also covered by tuners warranty that is why you have to look for who is providing you the remap.
