I have never been a boob man myself, so I can't speak to that. However, I did manage to find myself a wife with few faults as well, and yes 34DD's are there naturally, so no need to pay for them. I agree that this forum has few members who have stock cars (aside from the Admins and the Mods that is - your car still looks great Rudy and Mark).
Comparing the 5 series to the G35 I don't understand, as I said - I had one (one of the many times I was going to buy a 5 series and got something else instead) and I ENJOY my 5 oh, so much more. Try the suggestions above for more HP (BTW, DS mode is fun and FREE!!!!)
didn't mean to compare the g35 with the 530 in a bad way, the 5 series has way better looks inside and out, and quality wise is way superior. Also the g35 was a bigger engine (3.5, 306hp). I just wish I could do more stuff to my 5 series to get closer to 300hp. If it was the 535 then there'd be more room to play with, but with the 530 there are not many options, and I believe options are good!

dont waste your money trying to get more power out of the 6 cylinder. if it bothers you enough, buy a 550 or m5. you'll get more bang for the buck,

LeuS, take the car through the Tail of the Dragon and then tell us what you think.

You don't yet own your car, if you have not taken it to the limit of it's handling abilities. And by the way you sound, I'm guessing you have not.

Agreed, options are good. However, the options in this case are limited and expensive. A supercharger can get you close to the HP you want, but it'll be close to $10K as well, and if you're like me that's too much. I'd rather just buy an M5 at that point, much cheaper overall than the $$$$ it takes to make a 530 perform like one. Good luck

LOL, actually me too, but the ass is one of those things you have no option to upgrade, and if you do it looks awfully fake. That's why I used boobs in the example.

So the analogy would be that my car is like a woman with very nice boobs but no ass. So I'm stuck.....am I?

Yup if you want both u gonna have to upgrade to a 550 or m5. To get a surgeon(mechanic) to tune ur 530 to 300hp be too much money save and get a 550 you will not even think about comparing your G35 to 550.

I went to a BMW specialized performance shop today to see what they could do to give this machine more HP.

I already replaced the air filter, removed the charcoal one and installed the scoop. Other than that there's no much else. I was hoping they could come up with some creative solution to add 20-30 extra hp, but nope. I could replace the exhaust to get a mere 5hp, or even get a new flash for a similar increase, but those are very costly mods for the very modest increase in hp. So I'm pretty much stuck.

I used to drive an Infiniti G35 before this car and man that thing flies compared to my current BMW. Wish I had done more research before getting it and would probably gotten the 535i or 545/550.
I'm right there with you. At least you have more HP than I do, I have a 525. I bought the car May of last year, the height of the gas prices. Premium was 4.30 a gallon. I didn't want to get a v8 because of that. Now after owning the car I realize the gas mileage difference wasn't much. I had a pretty highly modified 02 maxima with the VQ35 engine which really flied as well. Same engine as the g. I'd like to get a v8 eventually, I mostly commute with this car I don't race it. So I'm mostly on the highway.
