The best way to find out is to have a play!
Why only have a go with things you know you can beat?
My re-mapped 530d is a gnat's c0ck slower than an Aston Martin DB7 Vantage (6.0 V12)! Not really had a play with much else as it seems a lot of cars in the UK must know how quick 5's are.
The problems with the rally refugee's is that they can range from mild (stock) to wild (500+bhp), so even a very stock looking WRX may be packing a Prodrive kit giving plenty more oomph.

Depends on the speed you start at - at lower speeds, do not underestimate the Jap rally reps - they're light, but with poor aero. At higher speeds, on the other hand, a diesel starts to have trouble competing with the stronger petrol engined cars.

You should avoid my 535d There is a vid with my touring VS 535d sedan VS Evo8. The sedan has a softer remap than mine, but at top speed the Cx of the sedan gave him some advantage. The Evo8 from what i knowed has full HKS exhaust, carbon airbox and a custom remap. The owner said that is has about 380hp and it can make a real speed of 280 km/h. Mine is about 290km/h.
Here are some pics of top speed runs:
