Well Well bended 2 rims in the only pothole in my town

Yes I like those too.. need to find out the weight of those too and makke my comparisons in price and weight.. so I have it narrow it down to Iforged and Radernergier,, I think HREs are in the same ballpark

It's a tough decision to make. Don't worry about comments on the finish of the product. Any one of these custom wheel manufacturers can put a finish on your wheel the way you want.

The two you have narrowed the selection down to are reputable. HRE's will cost you a bit more, but not necessarily better. HRE and iForged use the same machines to forge their wheels while Radenergie uses the same machine as Rays of the Japanese wheel company. You can't go wrong with any of these.

As an example, you could expect a forged 8.5" x 20" wheel to weigh about 27lbs.

My Ride: 2005 545i Sport, Premium, Logic 7, Jet Black, Black Leather, M-Aero Kit, 15% (very dark) Tint, Eichbach Lowering Springs, Red Brake Calipers, Radenergie R-10's, Michelin PilotSport2 in 245/35/20 and 285/30/20, Rolled Fenders, and a nifty Graco Baby Car Seat. Next Up: Xenon fogs, Eisemann Exhaust, iPod Interface, Comfort Seats.

I like the look of the HargeClassic2's best. In fact, I want them for my black 545i. The others don't do much for me. I would be concerned about adding additional weight, so look into that.

I wrote that I like the "looks" of the HargeClassic2. And I still like the LOOKS of them best; to me, they "look" best. I would jump all over them if I weren't concerned about their weight.

OK, now I understand you. You didn't exactly get that message across especially when you say, "I want them".

At any rate, heavy wheels are a no-no and it doesn't matter how good they look.

LOL, or maybe CRYOUTLOUD, but I dropped my 545i off at BMW this morning because there was a shimmy from the passenget side. Turns out, yep, fears confirmed, BENT RIM! $442 parts + $52 labor.

I guess now is the time to decide if I want new rims or just replacement ones

Anyone know where I can get a "take off"?

atake off? what is that? do you mean replicas or other wheels?

and weight is my primary concern, the formula i found is the total weight of each wheel/tire times 4 then times 7, that is your rolling weight added to the car (like if you have someone additional riding with you). For exmaple if you go to non runflats you could save (for this exercise) 8 pounds per wheel, so (8x4)x7=224lbs of rolloing weight savings which is a lot... some tires weight more than others (ie: SO3s are very heavy), so looks , performance or both and I'm looking for both but it will get pricey though

A "takeoff" is a wheel that the dealer took off when they sold a car because the buyer wanted it swapped for something else- and the buyer didn't take the wheel because the dealer cut them a price.

In essence, a "takeoff" is a brand new unused wheel. I only need 1.
