Weighted ZHP knob on 545i
I just upgraded my shift knob for the Bmw weighted zhp knob. Its .75" shorter and weighs twice as much. My feelings, The shifting is way better. Much much smoother almost seems to shift without all the notchyness. Not only that the shifts are quicker without trying. No more "lazy long shifts" thats how I feel it felt before... I totally suggest If you have a manual trans upgrading to the ZHP knob. Even aestheticlly it looks better.

So glad to hear this. My ZHP weighted knob is arriving any day now. Was worried it might be too short with the UUC short shift kit though. We'll see.
Got any photos with the knob installed?

Boots not connected to the knob. Depending on your strength its easy to remove the knob just pull it off and snap the new one on. Done

ZHP definitely the way to go.Didnt really notice to MUCH change but definitely feels better than stock, aesthetically pleasing tho.
Head through the sunroof, left foot drivers side, ride foot passenger and pull on old shift knob watch your nuts, lol.... Install new knob, takes all of 3 minutes.
