Not a huge fan of the CF tips, looks a bit out of place IMO. We are working on replacement tips in brushed, polish and matte black that will work on your factory exhaust. We hope to have them in the next few weeks.

I just used Anza's DIY this weekend on mine. Easy to remove, sand, wash, spray a few times and bake a few times in the oven. So far, so good. If I messed it up and it flakes, then I'll buy some black ones. Otherwise, I'm only out $8 for the high temp paint. - Calvin
Those pics would be great . Congrats man!

I like the CF tips, however, that price seems WAY too low for real CF. I'd go with the paint, easier and if the DIY is followed better and more reliable results.

Go ahead and do it You'll do fine.
Yours will be even easier since you can remove your tip covers and bake them in the oven.

Here are my tips,

One suggestion is to use painter's tarp to cover everything up and paint the tips while on the car - heating up the tips after the painting can be accomplished by simply idling the car. Although I'm definitely taking mine off to do this.

In your case, sounds like your exhaust doesn't have tips at all, so you should just buy black ones - I'm sure you can get some nice OEMs at a decent price from Garry of Newport BMW
