NGK

part number for the Pre 10/2004 M54 I6 motor is #3199 OE or the 6418 Iridium

10/2004 -Current N52N I6 motor are #1208

04-06 545i(all 4.4L) are #3199 or the 6418

06-Current 550i (all 4.8L) #4294



**10/2004 is the date they went from M54 to the N52 ( Your build date will be located somewhere on the drivers door jam)


Confirm these and this could be a sticky!

Got the 6418 Iridium NGK's @ $8.89ea. from NAPA AUTO. $60 bucks for installation at local shop.

$117.34 total damage. We'll see if its a good result. 57K miles on the ODO.

haha, i just got my NGK 1208 from Kragen auto parts, for $67.00. i found the PDF, ill put the link up when i get home. I have a list of plugs for each year, ill get that up as well...

I've change 7 so far. I can't get the rear one on the driver's side out... Anyone got any pointers?

You have to remove the nut that holds the main power cable to the fire wall. Then you can move the cable enough to give you the space you need to get the coil out.
