Received some lovely samples of the foliatec from antti really camera's just can't do this justice in comparison to the 1080 series, I like it and Im more than likely going to choose that one so with the sample I received I'm going to test wrap my small ac vent on the drivers side to get a better idea of what it will look like on my car wish me luck.

Well the test is over, and I'm pretty happy with the results I've decided to wrap my car in this stuff i feel like sending a sample to 3m to show them how to really make vinyl LOL anyway as expected for the first time ever wrapping I did experience some air bubbles and also the corners were a little tough lastly when i when to put the light switch panel back in it fit so tight that it bunched up edges a bit. all things considered it still looks good enough to fool people and I may not even redo it when I actually order the vinyl to do the entire interior. But I will learn from my mistakes and try to get better much respect for those who have done this mod already your patients has to be jedi like. stay tuned folks I have a feeling viynl wrapping my interior isn't the only thing I'm going to be doing muah ha ha ha ha ha haaaaa.

That looks nice .

When wrapping larger areas, use a mild soapwater in a spray bottle. It helps a lot with getting the air bubbles out under the Foliatec vinyl. The soapwater will come off as well with the spattle.

Very nice Gunz!

Ran into a problem with my passenger side window switch piece and now thing about wrapping it instead of replacing it. I see you have lots of samples. Is there one in your collection that matches the door handles? Brush nickel?

brushed nick nah, every vinyl I had in my possession I showed in either the video or pics the window switches are really tricky with getting the vinyl to stay on maybe another route would be what antti did https://5series.net/forums/topic/114...1#entry1359803

Hey Spedie, I just couldn't stomach the four samples that i received. Two were silver and two were pewter which looked more like gold to me! Anyway, I kept the two silver and discarded the pewter and then thought I should at least give the silver a shot to get a good view of what it would look like in the car. The two silver samples were 3M Di-noc and then a house brand that they sold. The 3m was lighter in color so I went with the house brand as it seem to be a little more defined. I took off the old black carbon and replaced it with the new silver. The first thing that I noticed was that it did not apply as nicely and easy as 3m. The piece that I received was only a small sample and was only installed temporarily. I needed to re-wrap this piece anyway. So here is the pics, just hold a trashcan near you in case you decide to PUKE! I re-wrapped the part in carbon black as it was.

After I realized what it would look like I quickly threw it away.
