535d's a lovely bit of kit - I nearly bought one of the early ones myself (ordered it, then switched to the Alpina). In the UK, it was actually CHEAPER than the 530d, once you took into account the cost of the autobox and advanced A/C on the 530d. Go figure...

Here's a video you chaps might find amusing - B5 0-255km/h, in about 20s. Between snow banks...

My apologies to you and B.M.W. I always get messed up in getting the right poster when looking at the "last 10 posts" (yes, I know, it should be easy and it's the one above the post)

Well, the box can juice it up. Nice little crisped turbo on the side, in its own oil jus.

Actually - I thought I posted a link to another forum (shock, horror) with a cautionary tale about a tuning box, but it seems the post never made it. Here it is again...

first here we are all one big family so no need to appology,

second THX for that link some very useful and nice thoughts there

I finally made it to the Dyno to check te real power of my powerboxed 535d

Result :
371.1 HP
718.8Nm at 2500 rpm
and a very nice torque curve staying above 650nm between 2000 and 4000 rpm

I am running it now for more then 10000km after the remap and still no problems ..... only i wished it was a 4x4 because i am eating my tyres....

I toold the box out for a short while some weeks ago ...back to standard the 535d feels like a soft pussy.
How peoples standards can change....

Hi;
Where did you do the dino?

371.1! That is 100hp more than oem...
Looks impossible to me but i also can be wrong.

Please post some pics of your box and installation. Looks intresting.
Just hope that your engine loves the box as you do?

Why would he lie?He dynoed the car and got these values.I am also a bit confused though because as M-power said its 100hp more than OEM.

Can you scan the paper that you got from the dyno please?

I will scan the dynopaper tonight ... for the nonbelievers.
the powerbox cost 89? and i ordered it from abrieb.de in Germany
takes 10 minutes to install: it has to be clicked in at the frontend of the common rail bar, directly unded plastic engine cover.
