My Ride: E61 535d Apr 05. UK spec + Media Pack, Luxury Pack & Visibility Pack
I don't think ATS is under any delusions of grandeur (well, at least, not in as far as his car and the M5 are concerned). He's saying almost the same performance as a 545i - which is not altogether unreasonable.

Second is that what I do not like here, is that we say that a "cigarette-box" can juice a car up like a good and costy remap; as the latter one gives you reliable performance and also peak performance, as said before these are DEVELOPED in some years of research and tests, while these BLACK boxes fck the engie up and we talk about 60K+ USD cars, so that is why I do not mind the video, except for horrible music

Hej, guys it worked out this time.
See my video. sorry that it is not spielberg quality
Got a box of 89? installed. 5 min work and.... so much fun
about 20% more power.
Lauched it at 10 sec but loose some power and time due to the spin as you can see.
I don't know how much power i have but is must be about + 340hp / 660Nm because my timer are slightly better then other chipped collegues
anyone guess how much power?

My Ride: 535D M-sportpack Titansilver
330Ci Cabrio Silver
Yamaha V-max Silvermax
535d is only existing in Auto!
so much power that there is in my opinion very less difference between D and DS
DS changes geares at higher rpm but is not much faster. If D gears up you anyhow come in very high torque areas.
Anyhow, due to high torque it's no use to drive the DS mode as you would need to do in a petrol car.
Even in DS my 330ci feels like a soft pussy compared to the basic 535D power, even without tuning.

The same or almost the same like an Emmy? Nope. Now I have to burst your bubble. You are no where near an Emmy with a chipped 535d.
Race him and see.

Well, the box can juice it up. Nice little crisped turbo on the side, in its own oil jus.
Actually - I thought I posted a link to another forum (shock, horror) with a cautionary tale about a tuning box, but it seems the post never made it. Here it is again...
