This may work, but in the long run problems will occure,
and this IF it is a hub problem.

If it is a badly produced wheel - almost nothing will help.

This is very true, the most sensitive speed is about 55 mph, but
if wheel do shake at fifty, do not try to make 150!

Ps. No tolerance is a saying, -0/+0,1mm is about that, depending...

Don't panic. If the wheels with tires were balanced dynamically there should not be any problem because of the replicas. The hub on the rotor has a diameter of 72.56 mm. Have someone measure the hub bore on one of your wheels with a "inside micrometer" The difference (if any)will indicate what size "hub ring" (or shim) you will need. If the hub bore is larger than the hub then your wheel is not centered and thereby producing the vibration.

OR; compare the hub dia of the new wheel with the old using a short piece of wood trimed to the exact lenght of one of the wheels.

Or; call Lakeshore and ask them what is the diameter of the hub bore. If larger than 72.56mm ask them for the proper "hub rings"

I have 19' BS RGR, and General Exclaim Tire, I did have vibration just like you, after I check the hub diameter, it happen that they send me a wrong hub rings(74mm). When I got the new hub rings(72.5), the vibration is gone, My BBS is alive agian in the road. Good Luck, I am pretty sure is your hub rings size that is wrong. You can also test if your wheels is hub centric by only putting 3 lugs in the wheels just finger tight enough for the wheels to sit flat on the hub, and try to move the wheels up and down vertically to see if you feel any free play between the lugs, if you feel that is lose, you hubring is too big, you need a smaller one.

Man, you guys are great...
I pulled my paperwork from Lake Shore.
I did have my wheels and tires "dynamically" balanced on a Hunter GSP 9700 Road Force system.
Each tire came with a printout showing the balance, limits, etc.
4 Hubcentric Rings (74mm outside--72.56 mm inside) are on the way from Tire Rack--$3 each for metal rings. Should arrive in 2-3 days.
I drove at 75mph yesterday (I had to), and the car went through some violent rocking.
I will keep you updated.

If the wheels are balanced and you have the centering rings installed, your problems should disappear - based on the symptoms you have described thus far. Keep us posted.

I wish I had used plastic polimer ones rather than metal ones because I hear that the metal can corrode, but Tire Rack sent me metal ones, and I did not want to wait.

Now, time to enjoy the 19" 166s in South Beach.

the metal ones are better, as they hold their shape better and usually are aluminium, so corrosion shouldn't be the big issue.

Told you that's what it was. Glad it really was and you are sorted, now. The dealer should have thought about it from the start.

Re Aluminum corrosion. There is a anti oxidant compund available for Aluminum (electrical) wire. I use it all the time to keep the wheels from corroding onto the rotor. You can get it at any Electrical supplier or at Home Depot or Lowe's in the electrical wiring area.
