For FTM, you don't need to buy anything extra for the new rims. The FTM is all in iDrive, I believe it detects flat based on the spin rate of all the wheels and if one changes drastically, it'd warn you that there might be a flat. Or something like that.

your sig says you have a 2004 e60...your e60 year does not have the tpm function...no need to worry..youo dn't need tpm's...you might need ftm's tho....run a quick search about that topic

Yea, it does actually. Mine is an 04 E60 and has the TPMS system and if the sensor goes haywire it throws errors on my iDrive. I've had to have it reset twice already.

basically if i put the sensors on the new wheels and save the 124's for winter and leave them without sensors the only thing that will happen is i wont get a warning if im losing tire pressure on my i-drive right?

do you know how much these sensors are so i can see if its worth buying a second set?

thanks
you most likely will get an error message that will be constant. i know that it was annoying when it lit up when 1 was low... not only was there a little yellow icon but also a large red warning message! there not that expensive.. prob 30 a piece.

Wow. I'm pretty upset now. Romani sold me TPMS sensors for my wheels when I didn't even need them. You sure, Gen?
