Just got my V1 today. Too bad my car is in the shop getting some mods put on otherwise I'd hardwire it. Anyways, what mode works best for you guys? I have it on advanced logic mode but its seems to pick up on a lot of useless bogeys. Any thoughts or tricks for this thing?

 

I set mine to lower case l and it works great.. not sure what setting that is but it the lower case L

 

Advanced logic mode is all I ever use (capital L)...

I also turned option "J" DOWN (off), as POP is not used in California (when you go to Vegas, turn it back on!) I strayed from the instructions and left K in rear at ON instead of off in case a city cop sneaks up my rear.

I leave mine in BIG L mode for the street and A mode for longer drives on the freeway. Not many falses.

 

Who makes V1? I want a detector in my new 550 and not sure what to get. How much is it? Where did you guys mount it, difficult to do on your own?

most of the guys that i know that have it mounted it on the passenger side of the rear view mirror.

Hmmmm, I ahve it on advanced Logic too and it seems to be beeping quite frequently with no visual signs of the bogeys. Since i live in Los Angeles, should I be using to different mode?

 

I have it set on the A mode is that bad? How do I change the mode?
