Here are the sunglasses. I don't remember exactly which one now. I'll have to go back and try them again.

My V1 is hardwired and mounted above the rearview mirror, on the passenger side.

I prefer the passenger side, because the rear detector sensor is on the right side of the V1, and by placing it on the passenger side you give it a better view out the rear of the car. Plus, it keeps it out of the driver's way.

I got the automatic toll box on the drivers side above the mirror.

Wear some darker shades instead of your clubbing glasses Joe.

Here are two pics of where mine's mounted.

Nice Britax in the back seat...looks a lot like mine. Wanted to make sure the boy was accustomed to high performance gear early in life...

If you mount the V1 far enough to the side, you can still put down the sun visor.

I have mine on the driver side (sorry no pic). Here's my 2 cents:
With it right above my eyes, I can see it light up even if it's day time and the volume is turned down = no need for concealed display and messy wires.
Make sure it is LEVEL! Sparky12, you are jeapordizng its effectiveness.
As for the visor issue, there are few times when I am wearing sunglasses and need the visor. During the 5 o clock rush hour, yes, you may need it if home is west of work, but chances are you won't be speeding! Who speeds going into blinding sun?

Not me...I don't even have one. You must be referring to another poster on this thread.

Cheers!
