I had really wanted to see that beautiful new 535. It looked great. Everyone I have ever met at our meets was totally nice and welcoming and very kind to my son Victor. I never saw a single instance of jerk-ike behavior.

I have a Beltronics which I got after a 100 in 65 speeding ticket on i10. Haven't gotten a ticket since, if I hear a KA band come on I slow down. I don't drive much over the limit anyways, if I hear the KA I only need to slow down like 5MPH. I don't race my car at all, if I had a more powerful car perhaps I would have a V1. They are expensive to me at least, so it depends what you are looking for. I think it would have been useful to me yesterday, I was driving out to a party yesterday out in the country and saw no speed limit signs. I wasn't sure what the speed was, and my Radar kept going off. I slowed down a bit, but the car behind me was right on my tail, so I must have been going too slow. 
Turns out the cop was behind that car, would have been nice to see a arrow where he was. Wasn't sure if he was hiding up ahead behind a tree or something.

I've actually enjoyed Rudy's long write up on the SAT transmission and because of that I also ordered my 2010 car with the SAT.
I never said I would leave this community, I just said that I was more active on Bimmerfest hence the lower post count versus the year I've joined this forum. Replying to Lowered the Praise's comment about me being a n00b here. Way to make people feel welcome here..
Since I got some rude comments on my questions about the V1 ( apparently we have some V1 Fanboys here that got their feelings hurt with my comments
) I decided to take my question else where to get some well thought out and well contructed opinions other than "V1 rocks dude get it!" 
Thanks to everyone else that could comment about my purchasing dilemma without sarcastic remarks!
Thanks for your input Tex, I haven't used a radar detector in over 2 years and have not received any tickets yet, however I wanted to get one for an added protection and especially the new car I got since going from 0 to 60 is pretty quick! I found myself driving 80+ miles without knowing how fast I was going.
