Yeah i did, found out after dismantling my USB stick that it lights up (light was inside) so it seams there's power but no data comms.

the simplest alternative is to use another 2-4 GB USB and try , if i'm not mistaken , FAT 32 can take only up to 4 GB

Tried three different USB stick, one of which is only 125mb and no joy. Can not test as my car is now awaiting repair, I take it you have not seen my accident thread?.
