No, just reset the iDrive after change.

You'd best ask you're dealer. There might be some setting for the wheel circumference - this is used to calculate speed and distance travelled...

Are they original alloys? I didnt know that you could get wider 124 wheels. I thought it was 245 all-round.

The 124's are available for staggered sizes, which is what they put on the 545i in the US as was done in this case.

If you are interesed in all-weather tires, your choices are limited in those sizes, but Michellin does make a AS version of thier Pilot.

I went from 17 inch style 116 to 18 inch style 124 and there are no problems at all.
As said above just reset the tyre pressure monitoring system in the I-Drive and off you go!

Yes they are original bmw I bought them of from a main dealer over ebay.

got a bargain, Wheels were taken from a customers 545i who upgraded.

they havent even worn the moulding tags off the tyres, totally un-marked alloys.

Probably should reinitialize the new tires so you don't get a flat tire warning on the i-drive screen. Hit the 'I' on the i-drive screen, then vehicle settings, then ftm. Follow the instructions on this screen to reinitialize.
