Default Updated Accelerator Pedal

Hello,

I am new to BMWs. I found this article and was looking for verification:

BMW ENGINE LAG PROBLEM | BMW LOGIC7

Descriptions for the part only talk about this being a replacement item. There is no mention of an upgrade over the old design. I did a search but only found information on Sprint Boosters and pedal resets. Have any of you actually updated to the new pedal? Was there a difference?

Thanks

Here is one on eBay that looks like the photo of the new pedal. Part # matches as well:

I was hoping someone here tried this already and could confirm if it worked like the article stated

Hey guys I this mod about 2 years ago. I read the same article and was curious. Bought one used from eBay in mint condition for $40 bucks. Conclusion for me was that I couldn't tell the difference it felt the same as my old pedal but then again my car does have a Dinan stage 3 tune so it be due that. It's very quick and easy to install and all you have to lose is about $40 buck for a used one.

Hey Jaystyles...did you have any issues with accelerator delay before switching the pedal? Did you get the pedal and the tune done at the same time?

Thanks

I did have a slight delay before the tune. The delay was gone after I didn’t the Dinan tune. I then read that article became curious and got the updated pedal after I already did the tune. You can get mint units off of eBay for like $30 bucks-updated pedal.
i wish 5series.net had a app I check these blogs more.
