Greetings!! I'm looking at various wheel types and styles and was wondering if someone could explain the differences between some of the types. Ive seen things such as forged...two piece...three piece....etc.
I understand the advantages of a lighter wheel but I'm not sure a 2 piece means there necessarily lighter. If someone could shed some light on the wheel subject I'd appreciate it.
This forum is a great resource thanks to everyone who keeps guys like me reading into the wee hours of the morning.

The major advantage of multi-piece wheels is that if you damage a part of the wheel, that part can be replaced. 3 piece wheels are usually lighter than both 2 piece and single piece wheels but at the same time costing more. Forged wheels are lighter and stronger than cast wheels and most of the time they are either 2 piece or 3 piece wheels.
Feel free to browse our wheel selection here and let me know if you would like a quote of any of them (most are forged wheels).
