I am really interested about getting a TV tuner for my 5 series. However I don't know anything about it. Can anyone tell me if it is possible to get a TV tuner for an e60 bmw and what the costs are. Also I would like to know how many channels you get and the quality of the picture. If anyone knows anything the TV tuner please let me know. Thank you.

im really interested in this too but why do i have a feeling that this is not going to be easy or cheap since im in the US and that this may be coming from another country market for some odd reason.

I was just about to post the same question - has anyone installed a TV Tuner in the Continental US ... then I saw this post. I have found a website with the TV Tuner module (and many many other cool toys):
http://www.bimmernav.com/store/catalog/bmw...t-item-111.html
However, I don't know if anyone has tried installing this in the US, or how the reception is, or what kind of signal you can get (digital or analoug) , or if you can get a signal while moving. Most of the TV broadcastors are now moving to a digital signal. I've heard somewhere that in the next couple of years, analoug TV signals will be extict. This means that you will need a system that receives digital signals, and most likely you will have to pay for the service (something like Sirius Radio)
The good part is, that you can retro-fit a FLIR Camera (Night Vision) by simply plugging it into a TV Tuner Module.
The reply about putting in a laptop is a great idea, sound viable, but I would like to maintain the clean look of the console without tacking anything on. I would be awesome though if you could integrate DVD/TV setup into the "Nav Screen". Keep the ideas coming guys.

You have various options if you want TV on your Nav screen.
1. Get the OEM TV retrofit kit, it will involve installation and programming.
2. Get an Aftermarket TV Tuner device and then connect it to the screen using the ACM or Nav-TV.
