You could definitely get one of the units from Dom, but I still don't think any DVD/TV Tuner combo will fit in that CD changer slot. What I'd really love to do is get a Blu Ray player and throw that bad boy in there, although it would probably be overkill and end up being a waste.
The only thing about the Mac Mini is that it costs like $200-$400 more than the iTV will, probably due to the larger hard drive, but I don't think I'm going to need anything that large. I don't know what the specs on the iTV's hard drive would be, but if it's around 10GB that's enough for me and it already has the RCA out, so it'd be a direct plug in to Dom's unit. We'll see once it finally comes out I guess.
10GB is really small if you ask me. I mean it can fit what, one DVD Dual Layer disc? Unless you plan on putting just a few videos, like DivX files, then I guess its enough. But the other disadvantage would be not being able to read DVDs, so its kinda tough to have to download movies or rip DVDs all the time then transfer it to the iTV. Anyways, its just my opinion. How much is the iTV suppose to be? You could get a Mac Mini for like 700 USD.

An iTunes movie averages 1.5GB, so 10GB is enough to hold a good 6 movies. I'm probably not going to be going on any trips that require me to watch more than 6 movies, so 10GB is good for me. You're right about it not being able to read DVDs, but overall I'm trying to eliminate the amount of clutter in my car, I have CDs all over the place, it's ridiculous. I've seen that the iTV will be $300, I don't know if that will still be the case when it comes out, but I hope so. Here are some pics of it that I found.

Thats really cool bro!! For me, my musics alone is around 11GB, plus movies, I don't really like iTunes movies, they're not completely high quality, but maybe it won't make a difference on the small screen we have in our cars. As far as clutters in my car, I can never get rid of it all, my car is a big big mess no matter how hard I try to keep it tidy. That should probably be my new year's resolution... keep my car tidy for more than 3 days... lol.
